Jake sat, his back against a willow tree and his guitar in his hands. Today was a beautiful day out at the park; the stream, the semi-cloudy sky, and just everything about it. Jake was currently strumming a few random chords on his acoustic, making sure all was in tune. He smiled as he looked down at it, glad he had found this private place where he could play all day long if he wished. Once all of his strings were pretty close to being right on the dot, he started to play. His first choice, 'A kiss from a rose' by Seal. He sang as he strummed the strings.
"There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea. You became the light on the dark side of me. Love remained a drug that's the high and not the pill.
But did you know, That when it snows, My eyes become large and, The light that you shine can be seen.
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey. Kiss from a rose on the grey. Ooh, The more I get of you, Ooh. Stranger it feels, yeah. And now that your rose is is in bloom. A light hits the gloom on the grey. " He smiled, leaning his head against the cool bark of the willow tree that was covering him with shade. He continued on singing, his voice a cool caress that flowed gently through-out the park.

Abby needed a break. All of her school work & classes were giving her a headache. She thought it'd be a good idea if she took a walk through the park. It was a nice day out and she could hear birds singing in the trees. She pulled out her iPod & sat down on a bench. Before she even turned it on, she could hear music coming from somewhere near by. Somebody was playing the guitar, and singing to add to that. Where is that coming from..? Abby thought. She put away her iPod and looked around. She saw a very good-looking boy strumming his guitar. "Wow, you're pretty good at that. Didn't mean to interupt.. I just heard you playing and I thought it was nice," Abby said as she tucked a piece of blonde hair behind her ear. "I'm Abby, what's your name?"

Jake suddenly cut off his singing, hearing a voice coming from infront of him. He looked up, slightly startled because he wasn't exspecting anyone to be back here during school hours; especially an attractive female. "Thanks," he smiled, loosening the grip of his fingers on his guitar, "I'm Jake. Jake McCoy. I take it you go to WH too?" he guessed, considering they were on school campus.
He studied her for a moment as he waited for her reply, a bad habit of his. He hadn't seen her around school before which was kind of odd for him, considering he was out either partying or around campus pretty much every night since he had been here. His electric eyes returned to her face as he continued to wait for Abby's reply.

Alex decided to take her dog for a walk. Her name was Kiki, and Alex kinda felt bad, because she really didn't get a chance to see her dog anymore, because the school didn't allow dogs in the dorms. Luckily, her mom lived down the street and allowed Alex to take the dog whenever. Planning on going for a jog, she had just brought light blue spandex shorts and an old volleyball shirt. As she was slowly making her way through the park, she took out her hot pink iPod nano to listen to as her and her dog jogged. But before she could turn it on, she heard the sound of a guitar. What, who's playing the guitar. Whoever it is, they sound pretty good. The voice isn't half bad either. Curious, she walked down the path, following the sound. Peeking around a tree, she saw a cutie with his eyes closed, strumming the notes on his guitar. Mesmerized, she just sat there, watching him play the guitar, until a blonde chick introduced herself. Hey, I want to go and join the party.
Walking up to the two of them, she waited until they were done talking. "Hey, I'm Alex. Alex Kissinger. I heard you playing the guitar from over there, and I just wanted to say you rock. Do you go to Westview?" She smiled a quick smile at the girl, but then turned her attention back to the guitar guy. Not wanting to be rude, she introduced herself to the blonde also. "Hey, I'm Alex. I'm guessing you go to WH too?" She studied his guitar, noticing it was a nice one. She wasn't an expert, but it looked pretty good to her. But that didn't matter, it was the person who played the guitar that made it amazing.

It took Abby a minute to decide what she was going to say, because this guy's amazingly beautiful blue eyes caught her off guard. "Well, yeah I go to Westview. Classes are too stressful at the moment and the class I'm supposed to be in right now.. the teacher is a bore. I asked if I could use the bathroom and came outside. I honestly don't give a shit; I'm under too much pressure right now," Abby blushed, realizing that she said a little too much for not even knowing this guy. "Aha.. I feel a little better now that I got that out, didn't mean to just explode on you," Abby said with a flirty smile.
Just then, a girl named Alex walked up and introduced herself to Abby. "Yep, I go to Westview and my name is Abby Phillps. Nice to meet you."

Jake listened to Abby's excuse for being out here and couldn't help but chuckle at her outburst. "Hah, yeah. I know what you mean." he replied, his face slowly turning to the new girl approaching them. 'Great.. I guess I'm not going to be able to play my guitar.' he thought, his smile fading a little.
"Hey, I'm Jake. Thanks, I've been playing for awhile," he said, looking down at his guitar and then back at the two girls, "Yeah, I go to Westview." He was slightly annoyed with the company, even though he didn't completely show it. He had come out here to be alone, but as always people seemed to follow him. 'Well, atleast they're hot.' he thought with a light chuckle under his breath.

Seeing Jake's smile slowly fade as she walked up, Alex started to feel uncomfortable. She tried to smile, but Jake's seemed so fake she thought she was interrupting something. "Hi its nice to meet you. I'm sorry was I interrupting something?" She usually didn't care about being rude, but for some reason, this was different. Alex seemed surprised that she felt like this, it wasn't like her at all. Well, there could be two possibilities with this. Either she is dating him and they are breaking up, or something else, but I don't know what that is. Maybe I should just walk away, because he doesn't really look too pleased that I'm here. Whatever, fuck this. If he doesn't want me hear I'll just leave. Alex then realized nobody was saying anything and she was with awkward silence.
"Well, I'm sorry for bothering you, I just wanted to see who was playing the guitar. I guess I'll just go back to my run." She looked over at the blonde, named Abby and started to speak to her. "Well, its been nice to meet you Abby and I hope to see you sometime in school. I'll just be on my way." She started to pull out her phone and check what time it was. She then grabbed her water bottle and took a long drink. She gave both of them a look before slowly turning around.

'What was her deal?' Abby thought to herself. She then looked back over to Jake. 'Maybe he doesn't want me here.. Hmm..' "Am I bothering you at all? I mean, I completely understand if you want me to leave you alone," Abby said nervously. That was the last thing she wanted here at Westview - for people to be annoyed with her when they first met her. "I probably seem pretty annoying. Yanno, some random chick that wants to come up and start a conversation, I just barely know anybody here and you seemed pretty interesting."
Waiting for a response, Abby's cell phone went off, saying she had a text message. It was from a person in her class asking her where she was. "Aha. Yeah right and like I'm gonna tell you that?" Abby said outloud, on accident. Wowww, and to add to my list of 'Stupid Things I Seem To Do A Lot": Talking to myself. I kinda need to stop doing that, don't I? Abby said with a quick laugh.

Jake cocked a brow at Alex, not exspecting her littlr bit of attitude. "Uh, well, if you want to leave be my guest." he said to her back, setting his guitar down on the grass beside him. "But if you want to get to know each other before you walk off, I'm fine with that too." he said honestly, smirking lightly in hope that she might just turn back around to join himself and Abby. He looked up at Abby, hearing her slightly spazz again made him laugh out loud to himself.
"Chill chill, you're fine. Hah. It's normal. Everyone talks to themselves every once in awhile, right?" he laughed, a smile now playing across his lips. He was glad that he'd loosened up a little, he just gets aggrivated when people interupt his playing. "You guys can sit down, you know. The dirt won't eat you." he chuckled softly, seeing the two girls standing. He looked over at Alex, raising a playful brow.

Alex was getting frustrated. She knew by his smile fading when she first walked up that he didn't want her here. But now he was inviting her to stay. Boys are too confusing. Well, he's hot and he's the only boy I've really talked to. I'll pull up some grass. Just then, a cell phone went off and the other girl, Abby, went off talking to herself and then laughed it off. "Oh, that's no big deal. I do that quite alot because I can't keep everything inside my head." She hoped that she made sense, because the words didn't seem to come out right when she heard them. Not waiting to be shy, she plopped down onto the dirt and called Daisy from her search of the grounds. She suspected she wasn't supposed to have her off the leash, so she whistled and waited as she saw her trotting toward her. "This is my puppy, Daisy. I'm not sure what she is, because I rescued her from a shelter. She's friendly and doesn't bite at all. Unless you play with her."
Hooking the dog onto her leash, she over at Jake, trying to figure out where he came from. He didn't really look like a certain place, like New York or Florida. Alex realized she was staring and decided to ask. " Where did you two come from? I came from a small town somewhere near New York. I loved it in New York. So much sound and action going on at once. I could never get enough of it." She said, dreamily thinking about her old life, before she moved to Westview.

Glad to see that Alex came back, Abby sat down in the grass. She hated the way it itched her legs, but whatever - at least she was talking and meeting new people. "Cute dog, Alex. I'm waiting for my mom to drive my Yorkie up here, I can't wait." Abby thought it must have been pretty exciting living in New York; all of the lights and noises. "I grew up in a very small town in Michigan. It's downriver - in the Metro-Detroit area, good ole "Trashy Taylor". But when my dad moved away to San Francisco, I got to live there every other 6 months. I got in some deep shit there though, not a good situation and nothing I'm proud of. Michigan was very boring and it seemed like there was never anything to do, and California was just so filled with life, busy people moving around, trolley cars, hilly roads, everything." Abby really missed living in California, but she really missed all of her friends. "How about you, Jake? Where'd you live before you came here?"

Jake glanced at the dog that Alex said was named Daisy and smiled. Then he looked back at the girls that were now sitting around him, talking about where they came from. He listened to them talk, learning that Alex, the brunette, was from New York and Abby, the blonde, was from Michigan.
"I'm from New Hampshire. Campton, New Hampshire. Nothing exciting, but I've been to all the big towns in the U.S. I'd have to say my favorite was L.A. That's part of the reason I came here." he replied, leaning his back against the tree. He looked over at the stream bed, a smile growing across his face. "Who wants to go jump in the water with me?" he asked, a smirk upon his lips. He was one of those spontaneaus guys that lived for the moment and at the moment, a fun 'swim' seemed like a good idea.

Alex was surprised to hear that Abby was from Michigan. "You're from Michigan, really? You don't look like it. You look like the type of girl that would be from New York, really." Alex was also surprised to hear that Jake was from a town she'd never heard of. Being surrounded with all the lights and sounds, Alex was used to always moving fast, all day and all night. "I don't really know what to make of Cali. I love it, but at the same time, the quiet of the night still freaks me out a little. I'm used to moving at a constant speed, 24/7. New York is a harsh city. If you don't know how to move, you'll be lost in there forever." She snapped herself out of a weird trance. Quickly losing interest, she started picking at the grass and looking around, trying to find something interesting to do. Okay, what else is there to talk about. Nothing, so we have to find something to do before I die of boredom.
Jake also seemed to be gazing at something. She quickly followed his line of vision to the stream, and smiled. I hope he's thinking what I'm thinking. Just then, Jake said something about taking a swim in the stream. "Perfect. Thats a great way to shake things up a bit around here." She stood up and started to take a walk over to the stream. It didn't seem that deep, maybe four or five feet. Alex watched as the other two began to make their way over there. "We should jump in at the count of three. Whenever you guys are ready."

Abby listened to Jake say that he was from New Hampshire. She'd never heard of the town that he was from. Both Alex and Jake were looking at the stream behind them. Abby was very spontaneous and was always up for anything. Jake asked if anybody would like to jump in the water with him, which made Abby look up and smile. "Wooo, that sounds like fun! Let's go." Abby walked at a bit faster pace to catch up with Alex, who had already started to head over there. Abby waited for Alex and Jake to get ready. Alex suggested jumping in on the count of three. Abby liked that idea. "Sounds good. Who wants to count?"

Jake smirked, his icy blue eyes still on the river. 'Heh. This is going to be fun.' he chuckled to himself, standing up and leaving his guitar by the tree. He lifted his arms up a little and slid his shirt off of his torso, revealing a hard set of abs. What else was there to do in New Hampshire? (I mean, come on. Nothing. Heh.) He shook his head, his hair framing his face messily. He slid off is shoes and socks so he was just in a pair of black cargo shorts.
He grinned and slowly approached the girls. "1.... 2..3!" Jake said unevenly, running toward the girls, grabbing them at their waists, and jumping into the water. The water was deeper than it had looked; it was actually about 5 foot deep. Jake touched the bottom of the rather clear stream and then sprang back up. The water was at about a 75 degree temperature; Perfect. He tilted his head back and ran his hands through his chocolate brown hair and shook his head, his hair falling sloppily in place once again. He couldn't help but laugh at what he had just done. He smirked, waiting for the girls to surface.
