Ashlee stood, waiting at the sign reaading 'Please Wait To Be Seated' at the front of the Chinese resteraunt. She looked down at her cell phone; it had already been 6 minutes since she had gotten in line. 'This must be the new hot spot on campus.' she thought to herself, a grin forming across her lips.
Before she knew it she was at the front of the line, a host comming her way to seat her. She smiled and he gave her a wink, "Miss, right this way" he said, turning around and leading her down on of the oriental lit rows. He seated her at a table for two since, obviously, they don't make a table for one. She sat down and he handed her a menu. "No thank you. I'll just have a diet and the buffet table." she stated politely, handing him back the menu. Slightly surprised that a girl actually wanted the buffet. "Very well then. I'll be back with your soft drink in a moment. Enjoy." the host said as he departed from the table, leaving her there surrounded by people she didn't know. She decided to wait until he got back before she went up to the buffet so she could relax for a little.

Jeff quickly got ready and jumped into his destroyed Hollister jeans, dark blue and white striped polo, and white Airwalks. He felt like he was starving as he walked into the China Wok. A greeter welcomed him & took him to his seat. He was supposed to meet Ashlee up there, but he didn't know if she was there yet. So, he ordered a Dr. Pepper and the buffet. The waiter brought his drink and Jeff headed toward the buffet tables.
Looking around he didn't see that many people that he recognized. I mean, there was a lot of people in there for it being a small Chinese restaurant. Out of the corner of his eye Jeff spotted Ashlee. She was sitting down at a table by herself. Jeff casually walked over there and started conversation. "Hey Ash! Why are ya sitting all by yourself? I was just about to head over to the buffet, did you order anything yet?" Jeff asked as he gave her a small, yet noticeable wink.

Ashlee heard a familiar voice from behind her and turned her head, seeing that Jeff had arrived. "Hey, Jeff. Uh, nope. I got the buffet table too, for once." she smiled, noticing his wink. She got up from the table, leaving her purse hidden in one of the corners of the booth. She made her way through the diverse row of hungry/dineing people and finally reached Jeff with a laugh.
"So, you hungry? I had to go to a yoga and pilates class right before I came, so I'm like super starved." she laughed, looking up at him since he was atleast a few inches taller than herself. She saw the waiter motion her with is hand, indicating to her that he had brought back her drink. She smiled with a nod and the waiter set the drink on her table and went off to serve the crowd. She then looked back up at Jeff, noticing that he smelt really good. "You smell amazing. Just thought I'd let you know." she smiled, returning his small wink from eariler.

Jeff smiled and said, "Thanks. It's Axe Clix, the ladies seem to dig it. I'm starving. Let's grab some food." Jeff observed the food in the buffet area. It all looked really good. Jeff's favorite was the sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice, so he put some of that on his plate. He wasn't that big of an eater, like most guys. He actually watched what he ate, a pretty big athlete. "So, you do yoga? Isn't that just a bunch of stretching? I mean.. don't get me wrong, being flexible is a very good thing," Jeff said with a small laugh, "but don't a bunch of old ladies do that?" Jeff liked to playfully tease Ashlee, she didn't get all bitchy like most girls would. Jeff patiently waited for Ashlee to get her food. While doing so, he gave a good look over. Jeff loved the way her hair smelled whenever she walked past him and the way she always smiled and always seemed so happy. 'She's beautiful.. and she has a personality. This could be one fun night..'

Ashlee followed Jeff to the buffet tables, grabbing a warm plate that a waitress had just brought out. She walked down one row; grabbing some peanut butter chicken and won ton soup. She looked up and smiled when Jeff started to tease Ashlee about her yoga. " Haha, very funny." she said with a laugh, lightly rolling her eyes. " As a matter of fact, a lot of girls my age do it." she said jokingly, sticking out her tounge. She looked back down at her plate, making sure to not spill anything. She walked back to Jeff, smirking lightly as she passed him. The dining area had cleared out a little since most people were up at the buffet, which made it easier for her to get to her seat. She glanced back at Jeff, making sure that he was following her. She then sat down in her comfy seat, waiting for Jeff to join her. She took the wrapper off of her straw and stuck it into her drink, giving it a few stirs and taking a sip from it. ooc| Here's the link to her outfit. I felt like being creative. ;D i13.tinypic.com/2r7t5hl.gif

Jeff followed Ashlee back to their booth. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her. 'God, she has a nice ass.' Jeff hated how he couldn't stop looking her up and down, but it was just so tempting. Casually, Jeff returned her "just so you know" comment from earlier. "You look amazing right now, just thought I'd let you know," Jeff said while sliding into the booth.
Jeff took a couple bites of his sweet and sour chicken and then took a quick sip of his Dr. Pepper to wash it all down. He then smiled, showing off his pearly-white, movie-star straight teeth and said, "So what on Earth made you ask me to come to some Chinese restaurant? I mean, you're gorgeous. You could have any other guy on a hot date right now.. and you chose me? That's non-sense." Jeff held a long stare at Ashlee and waited for her response.

Ashlee smiled, hearing Jeff approaching from behind her. The 'you look amazing' comment made her blush slightly, the tops of her cheeks turning a light rose color. She set her drink down as he slid into the booth across from her. "Thanks, you don't look half bad yourself." she said with a giggle. She picked up her fork and started dicing up her chicken with it. It was kinda of a habit for her since the peices were too big and couldn't fit into her mouth without choking like an idiot. She laughed under her breath at the thought. 'How embarrassing would that be.'
"Nonsense? Why would that be nonsense? When a girl sees an attractive guy, it's normal for them to ask them out, right? she looked up at him laughing, setting her fork down and taking a drink. She smiled, the pink gloss on her lips shining suddlely. She stirred her drink, a bad habit when she was embarrassed or nervous. "What are you doing after this? I was planning on going to the movies, if you're interested in comming with me." she said and then took a bite of her chicken.

Jeff had been wanting to ask Ashlee out somewhere, but before he could do it she had taken the words right out of his mouth. "Haha, I was just about to ask you the same thing. I would love to go to the movies with you. Do you have a movie in mind? Whatever you want to watch is fine with me, I'm not picky," Jeff said as he moved onto his rice. He always had an OCD-ish habit of eating things in a certain order, but he tried very hard to not make it noticeable.
"Yanno Ash, I don't think I've met a girl like you. Ehhh, that sounds cheesy, but it's true. Most girls ask me out because they think I'm "hot" or because I was captain of the Varsity Hockey team, but you're different. You barely know me and you just want to go out to have fun. I really like that. Haha, not to get all mooshy on ya," Jeff chuckled as he felt his cheeks grow warm. He was always one of those lucky people that could be extremely embarrassed, but nobody would ever notice because his skin was so tan. Jeff finished off the rest of his food and waited for Ashlee to get done.

Ashlee's smile grew wider as he accepted her invitation to the movies. "I'm not all too picky either. I saw the trailer for 'The Number 23' on MTV this morning. It looks pretty good to me." she suggested, taking yet another sip from her pop and almost finishing it. Her plate was decently clean of food. 'Whoa, I must have been a bit hungry.' She chuckled and looked back up at Jeff, catching his gaze. She couldn't help but to blush and bite her lower lip.
If she thought she was blushing before, once Jeff started complimenting her, her face lit up a deep peach color. She looked down slightly, laughing. "And you were willing to meet me here. I don't know many guys that would go out with a girl he barely knew and trust her to show up. That says something about you." she stated, raising a brow playfully. So far she was having a fun time with Jeff and they'd only been here for roughly 45 minutes. 'I can't wait to go see a movie with him. It's going to be a lot of fun.' she thought, the corners of her lips turning upward.

Jeff took a peek at his cell phone. About an hour had gone by. Jeff thought they should get going to the MJR so they could get into a show that starts soon. "I saw the trailer too. It looks pretty good. It looked pretty weird. Kinda freaky-scary-weird. Not like I'm scared like a horror movie, but so weird that it makes you freak out. I think the theater will be filled today. I believe the thing on TV said that today is the opening day for it. I can't wait to be there with you, it's gonna be a blast," Jeff said with a smile.
"Let me pay the bill. It's not that much anyways and it's my treat to you. We really need to get going to the movies. Well, that is unless you want the hot seats right inbetween two excited couples," Jeff said, remembering the last time he was at the movies. Just then, the waiter came by with the bill and two mints. "I'll be right back," Jeff said as he got out of the booth to pay the bill without waiting for a response from Ashlee insisting that she'd pay the bill instead.

Before Ashlee could say anything, Jeff had already gotten up to go pay the bill for their dinner. She smiled, 'That was sweet of him. I'll get him back at the movies.' A smirk now formed across her lips and she stirred her drink. She looked at the fortune cookies and decided to open hers, pushing Jeff's toward the side of the table that he was sitting at. She carefully pulled off the plastic wrapper off of the cookie, not wanting to crack it or anything. She then slipped the fortune out of the cookie and unravled it, wondering what the little paper said. "Today sparks will fly. Make the best of it." she read outloud, her cheeks turning pink.
She quickly shoved the paper into her pocket, embarrassed at what it had said. 'It's just a stupid fortune. That doesn't mean it'll actually happen, right?' she thought, looking up and seeing Jeff at the cash register. She put her elbow on the table and rested her chin upon it, thinking. She accidently zoned out for a minute, staring at a couple that looked about her age across the row.

Jeff paid the bill and headed back to the booth where Ashlee was at. He looked down on the table and saw a fortune cookie. He decided to open it. "These things always seem to say something stupid like, 'Good for you, the stock didn't crash.' It's like, what the hell does that mean? Well, let's see what mine says, not that it'll do me any good," Jeff said as he cracked it open. The paper slid onto the table. Jeff grabbed it and read aloud, "'There is nothing permanent except change.' Thank you, Captain Obvious." Jeff crumpled up his paper and threw it in the nearest trash can.
"I'm assuming you drove here. Do you want to just drive separately to the movie theater, or maybe one of us could drive the other person back here after the movie. It's up to you." Jeff was hoping that Ashlee would want to drive with Jeff, because he wanted to get to know her more, but whatever option was good with him.

Ashlee looked up and smiled at him, snapping out from her zoned out stage. "Yeah, I drove. But I wouldn't mind comming back here afterward, that is if you don't mind driving." she said, gathering her bag and slipping her sunglasses on upon her nose. She got up and got a 10 dollar bill from her tote, then set it on the table. She looked up at him through her tinted shades with a white smile. "I'm ready when you are." she stated, adjusting her tote bag upon her shoulder.
She hoped it hadn't gotten any cooler out, she'd freeze in her tube top. The resteraunt was still crowded, if not more crowded than it was before they had shown up. 'Thank God we met here at a decent time' she thought, moving down the row of people once again. She lightly held onto the back of Jeff's shirt, a bad habit of hers when she was following someone through a crowd.

"That sounds good, I love driving," Jeff said as he agreed to bring Ashlee back after their movie was done. They both started to walk out of the restaurant. Jeff felt the tug of Ashlee's hand on the back of his shirt as they walked through the crowd headed towards the parking lot. Jeff smiled and thought, 'Ashlee didn't want to lose me in the crowd of people, how adorable.'
When they finally made it to Jeff's '95 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Jeff loved his truck, it was a part of who he was. Jeff unlocked and opened the door for Ashlee. Then he made it to his side of the truck and hopped in. He put the keys in the ignition, but before starting the truck he warned Ashlee that the radio might be a tad loud. Jeff always listened to music very loudly. Just as he suspected, the radio was extremely loud and had Luckie Street by Cartel blasting out of the speakers. "Sorry about that, I like my music to be loud," Jeff said as he turned it down automatically, almost like a reflex. "And we're off. So, what have you been up to lately?" Jeff asked trying to start conversation.

Ashlee made her way out to the parking lot, still holding onto Jeff. "Sorry about that. It's a bad habit of mine when I'm in a crowd." she said, slightly embarrassed. She quickly released her grip on his shirt as she walked out to the car and he opened the door for her. "Thanks." she said with a smile, stepping up into the car and shutting the door behind her. She clicked in her seat belt and set her tote upon her lap. She looked over at Jeff as he told her about the stereo. "Hah, that's fine." she said, flinching a little when the music blasted through the stereo system. She liked the song though, so it didn't bother her. She mouthed the words as they played through the speakers.
"We are all alone, but we're better off by ourselves. Because it's time to roll the windows down and feel the cold air all around. We are heading out of town and not a thing can stop us now. Get carried away."
She laughed; Cartel was one of her favorite bands. "Um. Lately I've just been trying to get myself together. You know, sports and all." she said, sighing slightly. "I've only gotten to hang out with a few people and lucky you, are one of them." she said with a light laugh and a wink. "What about you?" she asked, looking over at him once more.
