Jake plunged through the door, finally getting the damn thing unlocked. He chuckled as he stepped in and took a quick look around from where he was standing. He smiled, "Nice place," he thought to himself as he allowed himseld to make himself at home. He dragged his two duffel bags into the nearest bedroom that was painted a navy blue. "Good enough for now," he sighed, exhausted from his trip here from New Hampshire.

He walked back out of his new room and into the kitchen to do what he did best, check out the fridge. It was pretty much loaded, which made him chuckle again. "Damn, this place has got it all," he said out loud, taking out a Jones soda and popping open the cap. He leaned against the counter and took a sip of the foamy pop, "Yum." He grinned and plopped onto the soft couch, enjoying his drink and watching people approach the building through the living room bay-window.

Selena was going up the elevator to her dorms hallway. She had just gotten the key to her dorm and the people pissed her off. They made her wait 4 hours just to get a dorm when they said they had one ready and the key was being made as they spoke. Yeah, perfect way to start out at Westview, which was supposed to be an amazing school. "Yeah, amazing my ass." She mumbled to herself, she was still pretty pissed.

The elevator made the little 'DING' noise after 4 floors. Selena looked out the open door to see a corridor probably 50 feet long with dorms on the left and right. She looked for her dorm, numbered '216'. Selena fumbled with the key as her bags were wearing her down. "God, I knew I overpacked." she thought to herself as the door finally opened. She stumbled in, then shut and locked the door behind her. It didn't seem like anyone else was in here, so she just threw, well more like TRIED to throw her two-million-pound rolling suitcase to the nearest open area. She still had her duffelbag around her left shoulder, dangling by her right side. She used to right hand to remove the, literally, 40 pound bag off of her shoulder and next to her suitcase.

"Man. I'm thristy.." Selena said to herself quietly. "Maybe the fridge's already stocked. That'd be one good thing so far." she thought to herself. As she walked down the living room to the kitchen.

To Selena's surprise there was a guy sitting on the sofa looking out the window that she had been oblivious to. She was slightly embarrassed that she hadn't seen him earlier. "Oh my God. I didn't even see you there." She said, slightly startled. "I'm Selena, you must be one of my roommates.." Selena said, taking a good look at her new roommate. "God..he's gorgeous." He had her FAVORITE thing ever. Dark hair & blue eyes, Selena just melts when she sees a guy like that. Oh man, she has to live with this guy...

Bridget used all of her strength to push her over packed Dooney and Burke bags down the hall, saying out loud, "Two-sixteen. God damn, where the hell is the dorm." Suddenly remembering that her best friend said something about being in dorm two..something or another. Looking to her left and then to her right, she finally found it. "Praise the lord, I can hear the angles singing now. Now, where did I put that damn key." Bridget searched through her purse until she finally found the key. Aha! Now I can finally go in there and unpack. Hopefully, I'm the first one there so I can pick out the best room.

After unlocking the door, she dragged 3 out of the 7 suitcases she had into the room. "Ahh, home,sweet-ass, home. Helllloooooo, is anyone in here?" She continued to walk until she saw her best friend and some pretty cute guy in the kitchen.

"Oh, hullo. Is the fridge full?" She ran quickly to the fridge door, seeing Jones soda, her second favorite, she grabbed a cream soda and sat on the counter. After opening it, she took a nice long swig. "Ahh, that hit the spot.."

Jake sat up from his lounging position on the couch to be greeted by two blonde teenaged girls. He smiled as one of the girls approached him by the name of Selena. "Whoa.." he thought in his head, trying to keep his cool. "Hey, I'm Jake, Jake McCoy. Nice to meet you two. I'm not the only guy in this dorm, am I?" he asked half jokingly and half serious. He wasn't going to have to stay in a dorm with a bunch of hot, blonde, teenaged.. on second though, maybe it wasn't so bad. He chuckled. The thought brought a smile to his face as he took another sip from his Jones bottle. He stood up ad adjusted his clothes. At the moment Jake was wearing a navy blue tee shirt that made his electric eyes pop, dark blue jeans, and a pair of his favorite converse. He leaned against the frame of the hallway, facing the living room in which the two girls were standing.

He eyed the other blonde who had went straight for the fridge. She was tall, slender, and appeared to be dehydrated from the way she rushed to the fridge like that. "Thirsty, huh?" he asked with a laugh as a smirk appeared across his lips. That was one bad quality about him; at times he could be a bit out spoken, but that was just a way for him to be friendly. He took another swig of his pop and ran his fingers through his shaggy hair then letting it fall back and messily border around his face.

Selena had heard the door pop open, so she swung her head around, hair flying as she turned and came to find her best friend. "Oh my...Could this day get any better? A hot guy and my best friend in my dorm, yeah. That's pretty fucking sweet if you ask me." Selena thought to herself. A huge smile came on her face. "Hey Bridget!" Selena said to her friend then quickly returning her attention to Jake. "Nice to meet you, Jake. And I think you might just be the only guy in this dorm." She said with a smile. As she watched Jake get up from the couch. She noticed that he had the snake-bite piercing. Which was exactly what her ex-boyfriend wanted to get, but his parents just wouldn't let him get it. Some of her friends think the piercing is disgusting. She thought it was really attractive, but that was just her.

Selena watched with Jake as Bridget rushed to the fridge, Selena chuckled at the remark Jake had made to her. "You know what..Something to drink doesn't sound half bad right now." She said, shifting from her position to walk over to the fridge. Selena whipped it open, causing the bottles and cans to shake. She jumped a little at the sound of the clanging, but ignored it. Scanning the fridge to see what was there, she saw a couple cans of her favorite pop in the entire world, Mountain Dew. Selena quickly snagged one and walked back over to Jake & Bridget. "So, what's new with you guys?" she asked, wondering if Jake was single. "Woahhh! You're getting a little ahead of yourself, don'tcha think?" she thought to herself as she popped open the can of pop, took a sip, and glanced back and forth between Jake & Bridget.

Laughing at Jake's comment, she gave him the quick once over. Hmm, not too bad. Not too bad at all.. She slowly slid from where she was to put her can in the sink. "Yeah, man. Have you seen the weight of my stuff. I brought like 17 bags." More like 7, but who's counting anyways? That brought a smile to her face while she looked at Selena.

"Hullo, Selena. Long time, no see right? Alright, have you guys already claimed your dorms?" Without waiting for an answer she quickly got up and glided over to the rooms. After looking in all of them, she came back, asking, "Um, Jake isn't it? Hey, do you know of any good surfing spots around here?" She was anxious to get back on the water and become one with her mom again. She waltzed over to her board, a long, light blue board with hot pink kiss lips all over the front of it. She grabbed a can of her favorite board wax and opened it up. She could smell the familiar smell of cherry board wax. Wasting no time, she started waxing on and off.

"Because I really want to try and test the waters today, and Nate's cell phone isn't on. I know he's probably out surfing already. That boy is so selfish." Bridget looked up to see her two new friends looking at her. "What?"

Jake shook his head slightly with a chuckle to himself. He took a drink and fiddled with the bottle in between his fingers. "My room is the navy blue one, first on the left," he said, pointing across the hall as his eyes focused back on Bridget,[/b] "Um, I don't do surfing. But I heard there's a beach here with all that kind of shit." His eyes now gazed upon her board; she seemed to be a real athlete. "Points for Bridget." he thought, a smile crossing his lips. He looked up and out the window once more, taking another drink. The cool soda felt good as it hydrated his mouth; the hot California sun always dried him up.

"So, besides surfing, what do you ladies do for fun?" he asked, his gaze still caught by the ocean-view outside the sliding glass door.

Selena took another sip of her Mountain Dew, wondering what room Jake had claimed. When she heard the navy blue one, she was glad she didn't get stuck with that room. It sounds more like a guys room. "Actucally, I haven't even claimed a dorm yet. When I got here I just dropped my shit on the floor and started talking to Jake." Selena said looking at Bridget, then turning her attention to Jake, and back to Bridget again. "Nate....." mumbling quietly to herself, hoping they didn't hear her. She shook her head really fast.

Selena looked around the dorm, wondering who the 4th member of their dorm was, hoping it was another guy, so they wouldn't have to fight over this one, really, really hot guy. "Hmm. What do I do for fun." she thought out loud, then the perfect thing popped into her head that she LOVED to do. "I actucally absolutely LOVE clubbing, dancing & drinking." she said with a smile on her face. Jake seemed like the drinking & partying type, she didn't know why. "So, what you you do for fun?" She asked Jake, suddenly hearing the door unlocking. She swung her head around to see who it was.

Vanessa stood alone in the elevator waiting for it to go to floor 4. She watched the numbers light up above the doors. 1....2.....3......4.....DING. The doors opened. She hesitated a second before getting off and took a deep breath. She made her way down the busy hallway . '216' She kept thinking to herself as she passed all the doors. "Finally" Vanessa thought when she reached her dorm. Digging through her purse for the key, she wondered why she didnt just carry it. Finally she felt it. She picked up the small gold key and stuck it in the lock. It seemed to get suddenly quiet, as the clicking noise from the lock was all she heard. The door swung open and made a slight 'Bang' sound when it hit the wall. "Wow. This place is amazing." Vanessa thought while looking around. She took out her key and shut the door behind her. Vanessa set down her bags and swung her duffel off of her shoulder. She continued to look around until she heard voices from the kitchen. "Hello!" Melanie said in a friendly way. She walked over to the kitchen and saw 3 people were standing around with sodas. The shaggy brown haired boy caught her eye right away. "Hey roomies." Vanessa said, not taking her attention off the gorgeous blue eyed guy.

Bridget picked the most blue room she could find. It was a baby blue color, with a great view of the teal blue ocean. She was in the middle of plopping stuff on her bed when she heard a different voice coming from the kitchen. I wonder who that is? She stepped out of her room and made her way to the kitchen. "Hi, I'm Bridget. Welcome to Westview. I suppose you are the last roommate we're getting?" She tried to sound friendly as possible, but she was also guarded. Three girls, in one dorm. Well, lets just say Natie is gonna be a regular visitor here. Bridget chuckled to herself as she went raiding the cabinets.

"Hm, what do we have to eat here. I'm starving. Oh, what do I do for fun? Hmm, well besides surfing, the usual girl stuff. But I also like rock climbing and clubbing. I'm a very social drinker." She said, giving Jake a wink in the process. She listened to Selena rattle off all the stuff she liked to do when the word drinking caught her ear. I didn't know Selena liked to drink. She would never touch one when we went to a party. Well, people change over time. I'm not surprised. She looked over at the new girl and asked "What are all the classes you guys are gonna take?"

Jake got distracted while yet another girl walked into the room, as gorgeous as both of the other two combined. "Whoa.." he said as he felt his jaw drop, but then readjusted himself against the wall, almost desperate to get himself together. Trying playing cool, he put his hand behind his neck and attempted to talk to the new girl. "Hey, I'm Jake McCoy. Welcome to WH," he said, raising his Jones bottle to her. He smiled, lowered his bottle and took another drink.

After he set the bottle on the table beside him and ran his fingers through his hair, "I'm, I'm gonna to unpack," he said turning around and crossing the hall to his room. He entered the room and lightly pushed the door so it was cracked open. He walked over to his window and opened them, the breezy salt air rushing in. He grinned and walked over to his bed, unzipping his bag.

Selena continued to study Jake, trying to determine what kind of guy he was by the vibes she got from him. And so far, they were all good. When she turned her head to see who was coming in, she got up and greeted the girl at the door. "Hey. I'm Selena Riley." she said when the girl was finally through the door. And let me tell you, this girl was gorgeous. Selena felt a sudden burst of jealously rise over her. She quickly shook the feeling off and turned back to find her roomies beginning to introduce themselves.

The began talking about unpacking and that. And suddenly, that didn't seem like such a bad idea. "I'm going to go pick out my room and then unpack for a few minutes. I'll be done soon." Selena said to her new roommates. She walked over to the pile of stuff that she carelessly threw down once she got inside of the dorm. Selena walked down the hall, seeing the last two avaliable rooms. She picked the biggest of the two, deciding to be greedy. Selena walked over and set her stuff on the floor. The walls were white, but it'll do. She really didn't care. She unzipped her bag and suddenly didn't want to unpack alllll of the crap she had packed. So she walked back out to find Bridget raiding the cupboards for food. "Hah, I don't know if we have anything good yet Bridget." Selena chuckled. She heard Bridget ask about classes, "Actucally. I'm taking the required classes, obviously. But I'm picking French for my foreign language. And I might join choir. I'm not sure yet. I'm definitely joining the volleyball team, though." she said with a smile. "You guys?" she asked.

Bridget sighed as everyone left the room. Damn, I thought we would at least have...AHA. Found something. Fuck yes. Bridget finally found what she was looking for, Nutella and bread. She popped two pieces of bread into the toaster and opened the Nutella. After seeing Selena race for the next biggest room, she turned to face the new girl. "So, I'm guessing you're new here, like me? Where didja come from?" Just then, she heard a little pop that meant her toast was done. She took the bread and spread a generous amount to her toast.

She heard, faintly, that Selena had answered her question. "Same here, but I'm also trying out for soccer, me and Nate. Of course, he'll be on the team for the boys. But I'm going for volleyball and soccer. Its pure love. I wonder if they have a surfing club.." She took a big bite into her chocolaty mess. After laughing from the expression on Selena's face, she went to get a wet rag to wash off her face. She plopped down on the couch and looked at the window, just thinking.
