Abby pulled in the Dairy Queen parking lot and quickly parked her car. There was a huge line of people waiting to get an ice cream. It was a Friday night and she didn't have any place to be, so she decided that going out to get a Cookie Dough Blizzard didn't sound like a bad idea.
When she finally made it to the front of the line, the person behind the window asked what she'd like to order. "One small cookie dough blizzard, please." When she got her ice cream, she glanced around and found a bench to sit on. She hated the fact that she knew nobody, well.. besides a few nice girls she ran into at Panera Bread. She was deep in thought as she ate her ice cream just as her cell phone started to ring. The screen said that 'Joe' was calling. Yeah right! Me talk to him? After what happened this last summer? Out loud Abby said "Oh, PUH-LEASE!" as she ignored his phone call. After she realized she was talking to her phone, she felt slightly embarrassed, but continued to sit on the bench in hope that somebody would come sit next to her and start up a conversation. Somebody that was actually worth knowing and worth talking to..

Gabriella usually spent friday nights with her friends. Going to eachother's houses, chick-flick nights, all the fun stuff. But tonight, was nothing like that. None of her friends were at Westview. She was alone, all by herself.
In a despair, she decided that the best thing she could do was go out and make friends. And since she was craving an iced cap, she figured a moolatte would suit her needs.
Paying for her drink, she turned and headed for the benches and tables. Everyone at the tables seemed to be in conversation, so Gabriella headed for the benches. A lone girl was sitting by herself, and looked for interesting to talk to then the smoking guys on the other bench. She walked to the bench, and sat down. "Hi," she smiled.

Abby saw this girl walk towards the bench, somebody that she had never seen before. Yayy! Somebody to talk to, finally.. Abby thought as the girl said 'Hi' with a smile."Hey there! My name's Abby. Do you go to Westview?" Abby took several bites of her delicious Blizzard and waited for a response.
ooc;; sorry for the short post.

"I'm Gabriella. Nice to meet you, Abby," She smiled.
Gabriella figured, by her question, that Abby went to westview. It was great to meet someone already. "Actually, I'm starting there on Monday," she said, taking a sip of her drink, "I'm guessing, you go there?" Maybe Abby could show her the ropes, or something like that. It was kind of hard for Gabriella to adjust to changes. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
ooc; no problem =)

Yep! I go to Westview. I've been here for a few weeks, probably a month by now. I'm definitely not keeping track. I really like it here! Well.. I haven't met that many new people, but the two girls that I have met were really nice. Have you signed up for any sports yet? Abby really liked this girl, she seemed nice & down to Earth. Talking to Gabriella made her think of her friends back home & her best friend Emily that she was really missing at this moment.

"Wow, what's the school like? I'm expecting the unexpected," Gabriella said with a laugh. She was greatful that she'd met someone already. She was hoping that she wouldn't be the weird new girl, or something like that. Gabriella's vivid imagination wasn't the greatest thing at times.
"Well," She thought back to the sign up sheets, "I've signed up for dance. I had to, it's my passion. Well, one of mine. And I'm going to see what else is going on in the school. I think I should catch up with the schoolwork first, though." She sounded a little geeky, but it was true.
