Family:
Father-- Julie's father, Eric Williams is probably most responsible for Julie's ways. He was an alcoholic drug user who beat Julie's mother, while Julie and her two brothers and sister watched their mother get hurt. Eric walked out on the family when Julie was but 6-years-old, just like Eric's father had did to his family. Julie barely keeps in touch with him. Last time she heard from him he was in jail for raping a thirteen year old girl.
Mother-- Julie's mother, Anya Williams grew up like any child would want to. Her father was the owner of a successful chain of restaurants and her mother was always home. Although, like every teenager, Anya went through her rebellious stage and at the age of 16 she ran away from home to New York City. There, she met Eric and the two eloped. After that, Anya never had much contact with her parents and moved to New Jersey with her 4 kids and husband.
Older Sister-- Julie's older sister, Tabitha "Tibby" Williams was more of a teacher than an older sister to Julie. Seeing that the family lived in a "trashy" neighborhood, Tibby had loads of access to drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. And, being what a rebel she was, she took these opportunities and eventually passed down her passion for these things down to Julie. Tibby is 5 years older than Julie so she is now 21.
Older Brother-- Julie's older brother Jacob was very quiet. He was a complex guy, and very shy and none of Julie's family really understood why all of the girls were knocking for him. Jacob was such a book worm and he preferred staying home and watching movies and reading books to partying on the weekends. Jacob and Julie weren't very close, and the phrase opposites attract definitely did not apply for them. Jacob is 3 years older than Julie so he is now 19.
Younger Brother-- If you've seen "Augusta Gone", yes, the sappy Lifetime movie with Mika Boorem who is like the juvenile kid, then you'll definitely understand Julie's relationship with her younger brother Peter. Peter was always the "sportsman" of the family. His interests ranged from football to soccer, rugby to tennis and everything in between. And as much as Julie was a delinquent, she kept Peter away from the life that she lived as best as possible. Peter is 2 years younger than Julie so he is now 14.
Background:
On March, 22nd, 1990 in the city of Trenton, New Jersey, the 3rd addition to the Williams family was born. It should've been a joyous day. The day should've been filled with happiness and the natural joy that you get from having a baby. But, the way that the two elder children, Jacob and Tibby were scowling in the waiting room and the fact that instead of helping Mrs. Williams with her breathing exercises, was sitting in a chair gulping down mountain dew. Plus, the fact that Mrs. Williams was covered in bruises, head to toe.
I'd like to say that from that day that Julie's life got better. But, it didn't. It got worse. Mr. Williams was an alcoholic, his life hanging by a string. He worked, but not much and sometimes Tibby and Mrs. Williams and even sometimes Jacob--did things that most would fine shameful, just to pay the rent. Although, everyone in the family got their few little jobs. Mrs. Williams' main job was working at a Discount Beauty Parlor in the Ghetto part of New Jersey. {Ha, I have no idea if there is one. x3}
If anyone suffered the most from Mr. William's hobbies, AKA drinking, drugs, etc. it was Mrs. Williams. It was Mrs. Williams who's face was covered in bruises. Mr. Williams threatened the children that if they told anyone about him taking drugs or always drunk or beating their mother, that he'd have to leave them and he'd come find them and kill them.
When Julie was 12 years old, her mother disappeared. She couldn't take the stress anymore and just left, leaving Tibby, Jacob, Julie and Peter to fend for themselves against their father. The first night, their father came home to no dinner on the table and no wife waiting for him. In a drunken rage, he beat each of the children and with his pocket knife, gave Julie a scar on her arm that is still there.
That night, while their father was passed out on the couch, the kids ran away. They pooled the money that their mother had saving for them in their piggy banks and took a plane to *Insert Location Of School* go live with their Aunt and Uncle.
By the time they got there, they could not contact their father. It was only until her Aunt and Uncle sent her to Westview Highschool that she found out that he had been in jail. So, now Julie is starting out Westview, with her head held high, in spite of her past.
