Background: Zach was born in Chicago, Illinois. His mother is a Chicago native, but his family moved to the small town of Ocean Beach near San Diego, California when he was 5. He discovered a love of surfing and skateboarding as he grew up in O.B. And as he entered middle school, he played basketball, football, and picked up a few girls. He had the reputation of a ladies' man, but it died away. After all, it was middle school. He entered high school, but his parents decided that they wanted him to go somewhere else and do something with his life. Thus, he was sent to Westview.
