Jason entered the foyer carrying his books in his left hand and his green chocolate cell in the other. He had his earphones in that attached to the MP3 part of this phone. "Bodybag" by Hit The Lights was blasting in his ears. Jason walked over to the comfortable sofa-type thing by the big bay window in the foyer. He flung his books to the side and plopped down. "Ahh." Jason let out a sigh and pulled this left earphone out, incase someone started talking to him or something like that. He shuffled through his books until he found his chemistry book. Jason was supposed to read Chapter 2, Sections 1-2. It wasn't too long, so he decided to relax and listen to some music while he read. Jason flipped open his chemistry book to page 38 and began reading.

Linzi wondered gently through the halls. Her mind a walking bomb shell. It wasn't safe to have this many things on your mind at one time. In her opinion anyways. A black messenger bag tossed over her shoulders. The bag was quite worn out, covered in safety pins and band logos. And of course, song lyrics in sharpie. Today, her thin frame held a pair of tight, low-riding faded and torn up jeans as well as a black Cami. A few pyramid bracelets on her wrists, as well as black jelly ones. The black boots of hers hit the ground loudly as she walked, Her eyes shifted down to her lime green ipod nano. Her fingers covered in chipped black nail polish. She searched for the next song.
And with out warning she body was sent crashing to the floor. She groaned, looking up to see what she ran into. real smart Linzi, thats what you get for not paying attention... "Watch it" The girl hissed, before tossing her blond hair over her shoulders and walking off. Linzi couldn't help but roll her eyes, and sigh. Looking about, not many people were around to see her slightly embarrassing fall. Thank god. So, she sat there just a moment longer.

Jason began reading and became bored just seconds into it. Chemistry was not fun. He switched the song from, "Speakers Blown" to "This ain't a scene, it's an arms race." Jason decided that he would read the Chemistry book later, way later. He decided to head back to his dorm and go play his guitar or something. He gathered his books and began walking out into the hallway. Jason suddenly stopped when he spotted a girl on the floor, who didn't seemed to be hurt. He scurried over to her and squatted down. He ripped the earphone out of his right ear and carefully studied her for a brief second. "Hey, are you okay?" Jason said, offering a hand to help her up. He had set his books behind him on the floor. "I'm Jason Riley, what happened to you? You look like you took a pretty hard fall." he smiled at the extremely good-looking girl.

Linzi wasn't in that big of a hurry to get up. God, she hated girls like that. "Bleach blond tramp" She uttered. Yes, those words were mean, but as of right now. She didn't mind too much. She was irritated with the girl. Who, had the whole I-own-this-school attitude. Sighing, she let the strap of her messenger bag slide down her arm and rest on top of her hand. Not really caring that in some way, she must be creating a scene.
Than, her attention was turned to a boy, who was now, leaning down beside her. Watching as he pulled the earphones out. She stumbled to find words, she really didn't expect someone to well, help her. "Uh. Yeah. I'm okay. Just, clumsy is all. Well, that and, if your walking down the same hall way as a stuck up girl, if you run into her, its always your fault" She said with a small laugh as she took his hand and stood up. "And...I'm Linzi, Linzi Lucas Killingsworth. Nice to meet you" She smiled, and tucked a thin line of hair behind her ear.

Jason completely turned off his cell, he didn't want any interruptions right now. With the final ring, signaling that it had turned off, he shoved it into his pocket. Jason was wearing faded destroyed A&F jeans and a light blue and white striped polo from Hollister. He looked down at the girl and helped her up. As he stood up, he straightened out his shirt and looked at her. "Heh. Nice to meet you too." Jason said with a smile. "So, is this your first year at Westview?" Jason asked Linzi. She was really pretty. "What classes are you taking? Do you do any sports?" the questions just came pouring out. Well, he was a very open guy, and that's just how he was.
ooc; sorry for the short & sucky post. x[

Linzi watched him turn the cell phone completely off and re-push it into his pocket. She wouldn't have done the same if her phone wasn't already on silent. After her phone going off in her pocket last year, right in the middle of her final, she had learned to naturally keep it on silent when at school. Only bad thing about that, is, well. She normally forgot to turn it off silent, which resulted in never answering people phone calls.
Linzi held in the urge to laugh at the boy, who was now pouring out questions. Although, it was cute. He was cute. Which was odd because, well. He normally wasn't the kind of boy she was attracted to. "Yeah, actually. This is my first year here. How about you?" She asked, "As for the class, I have the joys of Chemistry. And, Yes, I do play a sport. Or well two. Volleyball and Track. Do you play any?"

Jason felt relieved when the questions finally stopped coming. He caught his breath and then slowly exhaled. Jason pulled his second favorite gum, Citrus Orbit, out of his pocket, unwrapped a piece and then popped it into his mouth. "You want a piece?" He asked, extending his left hand that had the gum in it. Jason softened the piece by chewing on it for a few seconds, he looked down and the floor and back up at Linzi.
Jason thought Linzi was cute. But in his eyes, she wasn't drop dead gorgeous. But now some of these girls he's seen on campus. WHEW. Like his roommate, ohh man. don't get him started on that. "Man, stop thinking about that. Rude, much?" A voice popped into his head, sounding vaguely like his sister, Selena's, voice. "That's cool. Yeah. It's mine and my sister's first year here." Jason said. Relieved that she didn't look at him funny or something because of all the questions. "Heh. I'm taking Chemistry right now too! I'm in Calculus as well. I'm not sure about my other classes yet, though." he took a look down the hallway, no one was there, so he felt kind of happy. He hated people eavesdropping on his conversations, even though he always did it to his sister. But hey, that's what big brothers do, right? "Volleyball and track." Jason said, a short pause in between the next phrase. "That's cool. I'm doing hockey and co-ed swimming." Jason said with a smile, he was proud of his hockey skills, and he was a pretty decent swimmer too. He didn't try to make captain of the swim team though, since he was already captain of the swim team. "My sister's on the volleyball team, actucally. I think she might be the captain. Selena..? Ring any bells?" Jason asked Linzi.

Linzi adjusted the strap of her messenger bag, the weight slightly getting to her, stupid chemistry books. Why in the world did a book on chemistry have to be so heavy? It was unbelievable. She watched as he pulled the gum out of his pocket, tossing a piece into this mouth. "Sure." She smiled, taking a piece from him, "Thanks." She told him as she unwrapped the piece and placed it gently onto her tongue. Beginning to chew it. Yummy.
From the corner of her eyes, Linzi looked Jason over. He was cute. Not amazingly hot. But, super cute. Linzi was the kind of girl to fall for the rockers. The boys with that tattoo's and heavy piercings. So it wasn't much of a surprise that she was head over heals for Jason. But, he was cute.
"Yeah, Chemistry is horrible. And, I am a failure at it" she shook her head, she really was though. She was barley passing, and by barley passing she had a D. It's not that she didn't try, it was just hard. "I'm in Geometry. I'm not the best at math either...now American lit, English. I'm good at that." She smiled. Than onto the sport topic again. "I love volleyball, always have, Track, I'm just getting into to." Than though about that name, Selena. "I think so, I mean, I know who she is. I just haven't talked to her, but. My brother just joined the Hockey team. Stanton. Trust me, the kid is hard to miss, Overly tall. 6 feet actully....Tattoo'd...percings..." It hasn't hard to miss that brother of hers, standing next to each other, you wouldn't be able to tell they were related. Especially, when Linzi only stood at 5'4. Yeah. She was short. And, well. There appernce was quite different.

Jason waited for Linzi to snag a piece then he put the gum back into his pocket. "Heh. You're welcome." Jason said, being polite, in responce to her 'thanks'. Jason noticed his books still laying on the ground. He quickly bent down and picked them up, tucking them between his left side and his left arm.
"Failure, huh? Then I guess I shouldn't tell you I'm beyond passing the class with an A-plus." Jason said, suddenly feeling bad about kind of gloating with his science skills. "Ugh! I HATED geometry. But I was in advanced math in 8th grade, so I was a year ahead of everyone." Jason said, he stopped freaking out about his grades and just relaxed. "Heh. English...not my best subject. But I guess an A-minus isn't too bad." Jason was really smart. Almost too smart. English was his worst grade. But what could he say? He's always been good in school. "Yeah, Selena's always been into volleyball." he said to Linzi. She said something about her brother joining the hockey team. "Oh yeah! Stanton. I'm the captain, so I have to know everyone. Heh. He's really good actucally, nice guy." Jason said to Linzi, complementing her brother. "So, what do you like to do in your spare time?" he asked Linzi.

Linzi chewed the piece of gum slowly. She'd attempted to blow a bubble with the piece if she actually knew how. Yup. Linzi was odd. What person couldn't blow a bubble with a piece of gum? Oh. That's right. Linzi.
"Jeez. Someones a smart boy" She teased. Linzi wasn't an overly smart girl. I mean, of course she had her strength's and her weakness when it came to school. But her smarts were more in creativity than anything else. "Yeah see. Me and school just don't mix. I cant really do math, or science or anything else for that matter other than Art or English." She looked from Jason, to her feet. Than back to him. "I'm the kind of girl who is struggling to get her grades back to something decent the last week before mid-terms and report cards."
"I don't know, there is just something about volleyball that makes it so.. amazing." She laughed slightly at herself for sounding so lame. "I'm sure your sister is a really cool girl, I'll actually have to meet her sometimes, which I guess wont be hard if we're on the team together." She smiled. "Stanton's been into hockey forever. I laugh at him mostly, for being so stick thin and playing a tough sport like that. He looks so thin, its amazing to think he actually has a lot of muscles."

Jason laughed at Linzi's attempt to blow a bubble with the gum. "You know, this gum really isn't 'bubble making' material." he said with a smile on his face. He was having fun talking to Linzi.
"Heh. Not really 'smart' just..well yeah. Smart." Jason said to Linzi. He looked down the hallway once more, checking to make sure no one was coming or listening to their conversation. "I used to struggle in school, I got all C's and D's, but then Selena whipped me into shape." Jason said with a chuckle. "Yeah, I know. Kind of weird that a little sister has to whip her older brother into shape, huh? She tutored me and everything. She's like a super genius, but doesn't like to show it."
"Selena's always talking about how awesome she did in volleyball that day or something like that." Jason said to Linzi. He put his hand against his right pocket, and he must have pressed the 'on' button, because "Blurry" by Puddle of Mudd was blasting from the little earphone speakers. It was so loud, you could hear it clearly from his pocket. "Shit. I must've pressed the button." Jason said to her. He pulled the chocolate cellphone out of his pocket and put it on silent, and locked it this time. He shoved it back in his pocket and returned his attention to Linzi. "Sorry about that. But yeah. My sister's a cool girl. She's pretty easy to get along with." he said. "Oh man. Stanton is insane. Sometimes I'll play goalie during practice, and oh man. His slap shot is amazing." Jason said to Linzi, about her brother. "So, do you play any instruments?"
