Annalise sat, legs crossed in a cozy chair infront of a wall-window that showed an amazing view of the campus beach. She sat there, her medium-thick black rimmed glasses upon her nose that was currently in a book. Today, Annalise's attire consisted of a plaid pink and brown skirted suit that came an inch above her knees with a pair of brown and pink heels to compliment her clothes quite adoringly. Anna looked up from her rather thick text book on American literature and cast her eyes out into the blue ocean. Quite a few boats were out since it was a warmer day and Anna watched as they sailed lightly through the glistening waterways. She smiled small to herself and returned her eyes to her textbook, page 236. She read on about popular writers back in the 1600s. Currently, she was scanning over a few chapters on Shakespeare, which she knew a lot about. Even though she knew mostly everything she could know about the poetic man, she couldn't help but to want to read more about him. Another smile approached her lips when she came across the plays "Macbeth", "Hamlet", and "Midsummer Night's dream", those being her favorite play writes by him. She carefully studied the words on the page to the sound of pages turning and students chatting through-out the library. {Pictures: suit- www.madisonavenuecloseouts.com/ProdImages/VS%20SUIT%20060501.jpgshoes- www.zappos.com/images/831/7153831/1729-119110-d.jpg}

Scott was mostly bored and decided to see what the library was all about. It was his favorite place, and if the school didn't have a good library, he'd be screwed for the rest of the year. Grabbing his lab top bag, a couple of his favorite books, some French homework, and his quantum physics textbook, he decided to set out. After going to the lobby and taking a couple of wrong turns, he grabbed the glass door handle and stepped in. "Woah. The library looks more amazing that I thought it could," he muttered to himself. It was modernized, with all the newest computer and book equipment, but it definitely had that feeling like the library has been here forever. Not many libraries could pull this look off, and Scott's only been to two. I guess its time to add another library onto my list of favorites. He briefly ran his hands over the brand new wood counter top and walked up to the librarian. "I would like to apply for a library card, please." The librarian took his id, and after feeding it into a slot, a credit-card like thing came out. She handed it to him as he looked around in awe.
There wasn't many people in the library, just the way he liked it. Going to some of the shelves, he glanced at some of the old literature. Wow, they have some of Shakespeare's plays I haven't even got a chance to read. I will definitely have to check these out. He grabbed a couple of unknown titles and headed back to the tables. Looking around, he only saw a fairly pretty girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She seemed to be gazing out the window, and Scott didn't want to disturb her. He tried to balance everything in his hands, but it just resulted in him dropping his backpack and books on the table. It made a loud boom that made everyone stop and look at him. "Sorry, it was an accident." Some people tittered quietly and went back to their work. "Well, I've never felt like such an idiot in my whole entire life," he muttered to himself. Taking out his lab top, he powered it up while also unpacking his backpack. Then, he reached over and just briefly skimmed through one of the plays.

Annalise, hearing some sort of ruckus behind her, turned her head elegantly to the right to see what had caused the disturbance in the library. Hearing a male voice apologizing, her eyes focused onto the source. A rather slim, taller fellow with curly locks hovering over a table, his supplies strewn below him. She struggled to fight the small smile that was trying to curl the ends of her lips and she allowed herself to look over the books on the table beside him. From what she could see, the books appeared rather large and aged. With no titles bearing on the spine of the older book, she figured they were either history or literature books, or perhaps both? She let her mind wander, carefully studing the boy; much more in a curious way than in a 'checking-out' or what-have-you piggish people were using these days. He looked a lot like a lot of younger boys from home with his messily laid hair and rather lanky figure.
Out of no where, a classic T-Mobile jingle sounded from her brown bag beside her. Surprised, she grabbed her bag and quickly fished around for her silver N80 slider. "Bloody hell" she said rather loudly to herself as she glanced at the caller ID and silenced the jime. "Clarise, I just called you telling you I was going to the library to study," she said in a rather annoyed tone, but then quickly loosened up. "Yes, I got your postcard," she chuckled in a hushed tone, "It was lovely. But listen dear, I've got to go. I'll give you a call later. Ta-ta." she slid the phone shut and lightly sighed happily. She looked around, hoping no one was annoyed with her sudden phone call. Shaking her head lightly, she set her phone back into her bag and let her eyes read over the words on the page below her.

Scott felt like a complete idiot. Even the girl at the next table was fighting a smile, and she seemed completely serious. She saw him eying the books and was about to explain that they were some really unknown Shakespeare's books when her cell phone rang. He started to organize his books and his computer was completely loaded up. He turned his volume on silence, as to not disturb the people around him studying. He heard a sigh behind him and looked at the girl again. She seemed to be British, by the accent she had when she was talking on the cell phone. The books she also had located on her desk was Shakespeare. Scott was impressed, most of the girls, he noticed, like to flirt and ask for his telephone number, not read Shakespeare. He turned around, gathering his confidence, and decided to tell her that the unmarked books were Shakespeare's and if she hadn't read them yet, she was welcome to borrow them.
"Hello, I'm Scott. I noticed you looking at the books. I found them over there and they are some of Shakespeare's lesser known plays. I just thought that you would like to know." He took a deep breath, from saying this all in one. He felt a blush come upon his cheeks and willed it to go away. He once again, ran his eyes over the girl, but not in a disgusting way. He was just fascinated that this was the first girl who seemed to be more interested in studying then partying it up at the beach, or hooking up with guys. All the guys on the football team back home dated those type of girls, so he was always surrounded by horny girls trying to seduce him. Waving those thoughts away, he hoped he was right about his assumption and waited to see if she said anything.

Annalise coyly looked up from the literature in her lap, her eyes raising to meet the boy's eyes who had dropped his belongings earlier. She smiled a small, friendly smile as he acquainted himself. "Pleased to meet you, Scott. My name is Annalise Breton." she introduced herself in one swift breath. She eyed the books once more for a small moment and then looked back up at the boy, Scott. "Shakespeare, really? I thought I'd had them all here." she chuckled lightly, looking over the side of her chair at the four literature books that looked similar to the one she held open in her hands.
"I must have missed those," she smiled more comfortably,"You have a liking of Shakespeare also, yeah?" she asked him, making small talk. She wasn't usually the one to genuinely start a conversation with someone she had just met, but when do you find someone who has a fascination with a poet of the 1600's? These thoughts ran through her head as she looked from the chair diagonal from her back to him, motioning for him to join her.

Scott laughed when Annalise said that she thought she grabbed all the books. "Ha, well it does seem that you have a lot. I love Shakespeare. If only writers could go as much in depth and have an imagination like he did, but then most kids our age wouldn't really comprehend what the real message of the story was." He chuckled slightly at his own joke, and saw her motion to come and join her. He got slightly nervous, he'd never really been accustom to girls, but he knew this, hopefully, wasn't going anywhere sexual anytime soon. He gathered up all of his belongings, and brought them in the chair across from her. Then, he doubled back for his labtop, which opened up to his favorite nuclear physics page, and let him know if any updates had happened in the short amount of time he logged off. He scanned his eyes quickly over the page, and pick up the smaller labtob. He set his labtop down and finally, himself down. He scanned the page and then realized he was being completely rude not talk to the person at his table.
"So..um, when did you first realize that you loved Shakespeare?" He knew it was a lame question, but he usually had to prepare to talk to a girl for an hour or two, and he was just coming up with this stuff on the spot. I hope she doesn't realize that I'm really nervous. Maybe she's the type of girl that can pick up on that stuff really easily. If that's the case, crap. I'm spacing out again. He came out of his thinking just in time for her to reply.
